Mauro Guidotti, a Roman artist born in 1965, is a true pilgrim of the mystery, a soul dedicated to art since early childhood. His biography is a fascinating interior journey that leads him from his first innocent creations to a profound confrontation with existential questions. A return to Capena during his childhood triggered a phase of estrangement, an immersion into an "other world" that marked the beginning of an abstract-symbolic expressive search, aimed at probing complex human dynamics and the wounds of intolerance.

A period of intense existential crisis, described in Kierkegaard's words as a "sickness unto death," was overcome thanks to an illuminating experience of faith, which became a new engine for his art. His enrollment at the Liceo Artistico in Rome opened the doors to a more instinctive and immediate expression of his inner world.

His artistic trajectory was further enriched by a missionary experience in Colombia in 1990, where his pictorial language became imbued with spirituality, manifesting in murals of strong theological-symbolic impact. His subsequent return to Italy, his philosophical-theological studies, and his passionate work as a religion teacher nourished an increasingly mature and conscious artistic vision.

Upon returning to Colombia for a vacation, retracing the steps of his previous mission, he met Erika, his future wife. This encounter marked a crucial turning point, inspiring the birth of his highly personal "Fauvespressurrealismo": a vibrant and bold synthesis of the chromatic strength of Fauvism, the intense emotionality of Expressionism, and the limitless suggestions of Surrealism.
